The Northumberland Coastal Path is regarded as one of the finest coastal walks in Europe. From Berwick in the north to Cresswell in the south, the waymarked route covers a total of 62 miles. The route is generally flat, well‑maintained and is suitable for most walkers. To walk the entire path, most people tend to allow between 3-5 days, but I wanted a tough challenge I could complete in a day.
